What is REBIRTH Discovery Camp?

5 Days Intensive Recording Camp: The REBIRTH Discovery Camp is a 5-day intensive recording camp aimed at supporting and empowering emerging and professional artists, songwriters, and producers to enhance their creative talents and career growth. As part of the REBIRTH Music initiative, RDC1.0 provides a dynamic space for participants to collaborate, create, and refine their music in a professional environment.

Connect With Industry Professionals: This initiative is designed to encourage artists, songwriters, and producers to unlock their potential, build their networks, and enhance their careers in the music industry. The camp is an opportunity to work with like-minded professionals in a creative setting, with guidance from experienced mentors and industry leaders.

Create In Professional Environment: The RDC1.0 will take place at the REBIRTH Music HQ in Lagos, where participants will be grouped into different sessions based on their area of expertise (artist, songwriter, producer). Over the five days, each participant will attend two sessions daily – morning and evening – with breaks in between for meals, which will be provided by the camp.

Participants will collaborate in groups, allowing for the exchange of ideas, creativity, and professional networking. The details of each session, including group assignments and schedules, will be communicated via email to the selected participants before the camp.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility Criteria

Participants must be of Nigerian origin and currently residing in Nigeria.
Participants must be professional musical artists, producers, or songwriters from any musical genre.
Participants are required to submit two songs they have previously released on streaming platforms.
Participants must be able to share their music through streaming platforms, YouTube, or other digital platforms, with a portfolio of published works.
Participants must have an active presence on social media networks.
Participants must be available to fully participate in all RDC1.0 sessions from May 12th to May 16th, 2025.

1. Eligibility

Participants Must Meet All Eligibility Criteria As Outlined On The Application Page. By Submitting An Application, Participants Confirm That All Information Provided Is True And Accurate.

2. Selection Process

Selection Will Be Conducted By A Panel Of Industry Professionals. The Decision Of The Selection Panel Is Final, And No Correspondence Will Be Entered Into Regarding The Selection Process.

3. Attendance Requirements

Selected Participants Are Required To Attend All Scheduled Sessions For The Full Duration Of The Camp. Failure To Attend Without Prior Notification May Result In Disqualification From Future REBIRTH Music Programs.

4. Intellectual Property

All Music, Lyrics, Compositions, And Other Creative Works Produced During The Camp Remain The Intellectual Property Of Their Creators. However, REBIRTH Music Reserves The Right To Use Recordings, Photographs, And Videos From The Camp For Promotional Purposes.

5. Code Of Conduct

Participants Are Expected To Maintain Professional Behavior Throughout The Camp. Any Form Of Harassment, Discrimination, Or Disruptive Behavior Will Not Be Tolerated And May Result In Immediate Dismissal From The Program.

6. Media And Publicity

By Participating In The Camp, Participants Grant REBIRTH Music The Right To Use Their Name, Likeness, And Biographical Information For Promotional Purposes Related To The Camp And REBIRTH Music's Activities.

7. Limitation Of Liability

REBIRTH Music Shall Not Be Liable For Any Loss, Damage, Or Injury Sustained By Participants During The Camp. Participants Are Responsible For Their Own Personal Belongings And Equipment.

8. Amendments

REBIRTH Music Reserves The Right To Amend These Terms And Conditions At Any Time. Any Amendments Will Be Communicated To Participants Via Email.

How many people will be selected for the camp?

The camp will select a limited number of participants to ensure a high-quality, collaborative environment. The number of participants will depend on the mix of artists, songwriters, and producers chosen.

How will I know if I have been selected?

If you are selected, you will receive an email invitation by May 1st, 2025. Make sure to check your email (including spam folders) regularly during the selection period.

Can I apply if I'm not from Lagos?

Yes, as long as you reside in Nigeria, you are eligible to apply. However, participants from outside Lagos will need to arrange and cover their own travel and accommodation.

Can I be signed to a label?

Yes, it is possible to be signed to a label and apply to the Rebirth Discovery Camp.

Can I bring my team?

The Rebirth Discovery Camp is designed for individual artists, songwriters, or producers. If you're part of a group, only the lead artist will be eligible to participate in the camp.

Can I apply if I'm primarily a producer or songwriter and not an artist?

Yes! The camp welcomes producers, songwriters, and artists alike.

Is there a fee to participate in the camp?

No, there is no fee to apply or participate in the REBIRTH Discovery Camp. All meals and merchandise during the camp will also be provided for free. However, participants will need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses if required.
